Sarah Geronimo, Christian Bautista, Jericho Rosales, and Piolo Pascual bag major awards in the 2010 Star Awards for Music

<img class="contentArticleImage" src=""/>A lot of Kapamilya artists bagged most of the major awards during the Philippine Movie Press Club&#x27;rsquo;s (PMPC) second Star Awards for Music held at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater last October 10. Spotted during the event were Piolo Pascual, KC Concepcion, Sarah Geronimo, Jericho Rosales, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, and Yeng Constantino among others. Some of the winners of the major categories also expressed their gratitude to the PMPC for recognizing the talent of local artists and for inspiring them to keep on creating beautiful music for the Filipinos. Sarah Geronimo &#x27;ndash; Female Recording Artist of The Year for her album Music &#x27;amp; Me under Viva Records &#x27;Talagang napaka-generous sa akin ni Lord, talagang overflowing ang kanyang blessings magmula ng nanalo ako sa Star of The Night. I&#x27;rsquo;d like to take this opportunity na magpasalamat sa mga bumoto sa akin noon. Bahagi po kayo sa pagtupad ng aking pangarap. At gusto ko hong magpasalamat sa Kapamilya station dahil sila ay nagtiwala sa aking kakayahanan at talagang napakalaki ng naitulong nila at patuloy na naitutulong para ho sa pagkilala ng aking talento maging sa pagarte. Sobrang happy po ako dahil sabi nga nila every award is very special at talagang malaki ang pasalamat namin sa PMPC Star Awards dahil inspirasyon po para sa aming local artists na pagbutihan pa ang aming trabaho para i-promote ang OPM.&#x27; Christian Bautista &#x27;ndash; Male Recording Artist of The Year for his album Romance Revisited: Songs of Jose Mari Chan under Universal Records &#x27;Nagpapasalamat po ako sa mga organizations like you na talagang binibigyan ng credit ang musikang Pilipino. This really inspires us all na galingan pa namin, create better music na nag-i-inspire ng mga tao at naga-uplift ng kanilang buhay. And dito ko napatunayan na hindi porke&#x27;rsquo;t host ka ng isang awards night e hindi ka na pwede manalo. So maraming-marami salamat. And on behalf of Erik Santos please watch our show Star Power (on ABS-CBN).&#x27; (Erik Santos was also hailed as the Male Recording Artist of The Year for his album The Jim Brickman Songbook under Star Records) Jericho Rosales &#x27;ndash; Song of the Year Award for his hit single &#x27;Pusong Ligaw&#x27; from his album Change under Star Records &#x27;I am very happy na napiling song of the year ang &#x27;lsquo;Pusong Ligaw,&#x27;rsquo; it&#x27;rsquo;s the first single in my album, Change. It&#x27;rsquo;s the only original song in this revival album. Ang &#x27;lsquo;Pusong Ligaw&#x27;rsquo; ay isang kanta na sinulat ko para sa teleseryeng Dahil May Isang Ikaw pero na-reject, pero napili siyang carrier single for Change. I&#x27;rsquo;m just very happy na nabigyan ako ng ganitong recognition because this is actually my first major award in music. This award only means one thing.
