Zanjoe Marudo explained on The Buzz last October 3 that he does not need to rush into a relationship just because his former girlfriend Mariel Rodriguez got married to action superstar Robin Padilla. The actor-turned-model related that being single also made him realize that there is a right time for a relationship.

Zanjoe also denied claims that he has not yet moved on from his previous relationship with Mariel which is why he hasn'rsquo;t gotten into a new romance yet. 'Kumbaga ako, hindi dahil matagal na akong single, eh, kailangan ko nang maghanap ng girlfriend dahil hindi naman 'lsquo;yun 'lsquo;yung basehan ko.'

When the star of the primetime teleserye Kristine Series was asked if he was happy about Mariel'rsquo;s marriage to Robin, he answered, 'Congratulations. Oo naman.'

Zanjoe also denied rumors that he has plans to court Robin'rsquo;s eldest daughter, Queenie Padilla. ''rsquo;Yun nga, eh hindi ko alam kung sa'rsquo;n galing ang balitang 'lsquo;yan. Never pa ho kaming na-introduce. Wala hong katotohanan 'lsquo;yun na may balak akong ligawan.' Meantime, Zanjoe also revealed that he has gotten closer to his leading lady in Kristine Series, Cristine Reyes, because aside from becoming more comfortable with one another, they have things in common, such as the same lessons learned from failed relationships in the past. 'Pareho naman kami na, alam mo 'lsquo;yon, na hindi basta-basta papasok sa isang bagay. Si Cristine at ako ay nanggaling sa seryosong relasyon na natapos. Naniniguro na kami ngayon.'
