After the success of Rosalka, Empress is again busy, this time preparing for the upcoming teen variety show Shout Out! The show will also feature an ensemble cast which includes her Star Magic contemporaries Enchong Dee, Erich Gonzales, and Arron Villaflor, as well as a batch of young, new stars.
The young actress admitted she is looking forward to doing comedy for a change, after playing the role of a hunchback in Rosalka. Empress said being part of Shout Out! will let her showcase a wider range of talents. 'Masaya ako na parang hindi lang pala acting ang puwede kong gawin and tapos binigyan pa ako ng chance ng management ng hosting projects so happy ako na hindi lang pala ako hanggang acting or drama lang,' she adds.
Having been acting for over a decade already, Empress is already considered one of the senior members of the Shout Out! cast, but she says she looks forward to being able to mentor the junior members. 'Siyempre tutulungan ko sila sa mga basics, yung nung nag-start ako na hindi ko pa alam na kailangan sa mga ganitong klaseng show, yung kailangang maging energetic ka, hindi puwede yung tahimik, ayun so madali na lang sigurong gawin yun,' she said. Empress said she thinks being approachable and friendly to the newer talents will help the show become better. 'Madali lang naman yun kasi 'lsquo;pag kaming mga main hosts or yung tinatawag nilang senior, kami maki-ki-bond sa kanila or kung papansinin namin talaga sila at magiging friends kami sa isa'rsquo;t isa, magiging mas madali yung work eh. I'rsquo;m sure na mawawala kagad yung pagiging mahiyain nila.
Empress is also excited about the format of their new show, which caters not just to teens, but viewers of all ages. Singing, dancing, and may mga games.
