Although they first met in 2006 while filming One More Chance, Fil-Brit actors Derek Ramsay and Bea Alonzo did not really get the chance to bond as much as they have now on the set of the primetime hit Magkaribal, along with Gretchen Baretto. 'We'rsquo;ve definitely gotten closer. We practically see each other every other day now. I'rsquo;ve worked with Bea before so I'rsquo;ve gotten to know her na. I was also surprised with Gretchen, about how down to earth she is and how kalog she is pala. So everybody on the set seems to get along and are getting closer,' Derek says. The two also had the chance to work together in 2007 for Maging Sino Ka Man: Ang Pagbabalik, but they were not paired as a couple. 'I like working with Bea. Like I said, she'rsquo;s a professional. She'rsquo;s always in her character and it'rsquo;s easy to play off her energy when we do a scene. I'rsquo;ve always felt comfortable when we worked on the soap and on One More Chance. With Bea talagang comfortable ako,' he says. Derek says that even with their intimate scenes, there is no awkwardness with him and Bea. 'She is very professional so she really gets into her role. Masarap siyang kausap. I think Bea is one of the most intense actresses I'rsquo;ve worked with. She really finds out kung saan yung pinanggagalingan ng isang eksena para she knows how to perform. She'rsquo;s always asking the director questions, so sometimes medyo maiilang ka nagrabe, kailangan kong sabayan ito, nakakhiya naman kung ako mawawala ako sa character ko because she'rsquo;s always serious about her work,' he admits.

With Gretchen, Derek shrugs off persistent rumors that she secretly likes him off-cam as well. He says it might have been true at some point, but it was just a harmless form of admiration and nothing that his girlfriend Angelica Panganiban should be worried about. 'It'rsquo;s just I think an initial thing, you know. Kilig-kilig thing, it came out of her mouth pa nga eh na hindi na, wala na yung kilig factor kasi I'rsquo;ve gotten to know her and we'rsquo;ve actually become good friends. Were just there, enjoying each others company. We'rsquo;ve hung out as a group, it was a birthday party of a makeup artist and we all hung out,' he shares.'nbsp;

Being born in England, Derek also makes it a point to share what he knows about his British heritage with Bea, because she has never been to the U.K. He also pokes fun at his Magkaribal co-star during their down time on the set.'Yeah I'rsquo;m always making her asar, kasi her feet go pink pag nakatayo siya ng matagal. That'rsquo;s a very English thing and I also tell her you'rsquo;re still lucky because British people are known to have bad teeth, she has nice teeth. So I try to share with her what I know because I was born there and I don'rsquo;t think she has much knowledge of what the English culture is like so I kinda share that with her,' he says.

With the success of Magkaribal, Derek also can'rsquo;t help but be thankful for Louie, the character he is currently playing.
