Last year, Kris Aquino took some time off from her busy schedule to make the most meaningful trip of her life. In an issue of K the Kris Aquino Magazine, the Queen of All Media talked about her experience taking her two sons Josh and Baby James to Boston and shared exclusive photos from their trip.

Boston served as home to the young Kris and her family from 1980 to 1983, the time when her father, then Senator Benigno 'Ninoy' Aquino was granted exile by the late president Ferdinand Marcos. After three years of living with his family in Boston, Ninoy decided to go back to the Philippines where he was assassinated on August 21, 1983.

Kris went to Boston in memory of her late mother, former President Corazon Aquino, who passed away in 2009 after battling cancer.'nbsp; 'I needed to go back to Boston to remember our Mom at her most peaceful and happy, surrounded by so much love and the family that she gave her life to caring for.'

The TV host-actress wanted to show her two boys that despite her being a media personality and a sister to the current President Noynoy Aquino, there was a time that she got a taste of a normal life.'nbsp; 'Life was much simpler then, and that is what I'rsquo;m trying my best to recreate for my two boys.' But instead of being too emotional, Kris revealed that she didn'rsquo;t cry when she visited their old brick house along Commonwealth Avenue in Boston. 'I honestly shed no tears because I felt that God wanted me to see what 1980 to 83 had been like in shaping me as a person.'

Kris also brought her sons to other memorable places in Boston like St. Ignatius Church where they used to hear mass as a family, the Boston College where her elder sister Viel Aquino-Dee graduated, and Mount Alvernia Academy where Kris attended Grade 4, 5, and 6.
