Karylle will play the female lead role Sita while Christian Bautista will portray the male lead role Rama. Rama, Hari will be staged at the Main CCP Theater from November 30 to December 9.

Prior to joining showbiz, Karylle initially starred in stage plays first, which is why theater holds a special place in her heart. She explained, “Siguro kasi when I was younger I really danced ballet that is also held in the theater so it’s my first home, it’s where I really feel most comfortable talaga.

Speaking of work, Karylle was asked for her reaction to former boyfriend Dingdong Dantes’s statement that he is happy about Karylle’s achievements now. Karylle began by saying that she saw Dingdong on TV being interviewed for his movie. “I know that he loves really putting a movie together, directing so ‘yun congratulations din sa kanya,” the singer-actress explained.

Push.com.ph then asked Karylle if she is open to the possibility of working again with Dingdong. “For me naman kasi we worked together in Bench (fashion show) so hindi ko naman masasabi na nili-limit ko ang sarili ko in any way,” she answered. “Ayoko namang pilitin na ako pa ‘yung magsa-start pero kung dumating na ‘yung panahon. I always say that I don’t limit myself pagdating sa ganyan.”

Karylle’s efforts to do shows abroad is paying off. Apart from having done the Singaporean TV show The Kitchen Musical and the big possibility of doing the second season, Karylle also just finished taping her guest appearance in the Singaporean TV series Point of Entry. “Now I’m just really trying to expand my horizons and I’m trying to look for an agent pa there. I guess I just want to do more work abroad because I really love travelling. I enjoy hanging out with Pinoys abroad and just meeting people and other artists,” she said.

The singer-actress-host was asked if she has any plans of trying her luck in Hollywood. “I don’t know,” she mused. “My music, I’m trying to get it there, whether it be a theme song. It’s always something you always aspire for.”
