Matteo Guidicelli clarified that he’s not thinking of getting back together with ex-girlfriend Maja Salvador. As previously reported on Push.com.ph, Maja was caught giving Matteo a quick hug in their dressing room for Sarah G Live last November 11. They were also spotted together at the Star Magic benefit concert at Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill last Saturday, November 24.

But Matteo maintained that they’ve decided to just be good friends. “Maja and I are okay. We talk, we’re good friends, that’s it. Basta my concentration is Paraiso talaga and I don’t want to lose my focus. There’s no problem about being friends again. I’m happy we’re friends because I don’t like making enemies. I’m really proud and masaya talaga ako na magkaibigan kami talaga,” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph and other reporters.

The 23-year-old further explained that he won’t be able to juggle a romantic relationship with his showbiz career and his triathlon training. Lack of time for each other was the reason why they broke up last August. “I guess different ang priorities namin ngayon. And I realize that I want to concentrate on my work first for now. I’m giving it all sa Paraiso.”

When asked if there’s a chance that they could end up together again in the near future, he reiterated that his love life is his last priority at the moment. “I’m not thinking of it right now e. Inisip ko talaga trabaho.”

In the meantime, Matteo was very happy to be part of the Sunpiology Sunset Run because he’s also an advocate of fitness and healthy lifestyle. In fact, his triathlon team also joined the run together with his dad. “Sunpiology is a very good cause. It’s a charity run. Tapos [nagkaroon din ng] benefit concert ang Star Magic. It’s a good venue to spread the word about fitness. For my preparation, I always train for triathlon so this run is also like a training session for me. Masaya. mahirap lang yung course kasi maraming tao. Pero very well organized and very nice naman yung event.”
