Eula Valdez is not yet ready to get married to Rocky Salumbides

But the 43-year-old maintained that posing for a sexy male magazine in the past is enough to satisfy her self-esteem. Asked if her boyfriend Rocky Salumbides forbids her to do so, she explained that he’s not the type who wants to flaunt her like a trophy girlfriend. “Wala naman pagbabawal. Although alam ko na hindi rin niya gusto. Medyo makaluma siya. ‘Pag may tumitingin sa akin ayaw niya.” But this doesn’t mean that he’s not supportive of her work. In fact, he accompanied her when she did a cover shoot for a sexy male magazine a year ago. Apparently, he’s not comfortable around guys who openly express their attraction for her. “Sinamahan niya ako sa shoot, pero ayaw niya pumasok sa loob. Ayaw niya makita reaksyon ng tao. Siyempre lalaki siya, alam niya yung iniisip ng lalaki. Ayaw niyang mabasa sa mukha ng mga lalaki [yung paghanga]. Pero ‘di niya ako binabawalaan. Hindi ibig sabihin nun hindi siya proud sa akin. Hindi siya possessive. Naiintindihan naman niya.” Eula happily shared that she and Rocky have been together for four years, and their relationship is still going strong. “Mature siya for his age. Father material siya. Maalaga siya, hindi lang dahil breadwinner siya ng family nung time na nag abroad siya. Ngayon na yung mom at mga kapatid niya nasa America na, nagkaroon na siya ng time sa sarili niya. Innate na rin sa kanya yung pagiging maalaga kahit sa mga anak ko.” But in spite of their solid relationship, Eula admitted that she’s not yet ready to tie the knot with Rocky. “Hindi pa kasi ako annuled. Hindi ko pa naiisip na ayusin yung parte ng buhay ko na ‘yan. Nandiyan lang siya, although in-express niya yung willingness niya na gusto niya magasawa. Ako naman, hinay-hinay lang tayo. Kung wala naman problema, ‘wag na natin busisiin ‘yan. May ganon akong pakiramdam e. Kasi ‘pag binusisi pa baka magkaproblema. So sabi ko dito muna tayo. ‘Wag natin pakialaman yung hindi sira.” Eula has been separated from husband Richard Litonjua for several years now. But she has no plans to seek annulment anytime soon for the sake of her children. “Siguro kasi hindi ko alam kung paano ite-take ng mga anak ko. Yung bunso ko 7 years old tapos yung panganay 17. I’m sure magkakaroon ng epekto sa kanila yun.”

Although they've been together for four years now, Eula Valdez says there are things to consider before she can settle down with Rocky Salumbides.
