As one of the fastest rising local talents in the music industry, hip hop artist Raymund Abracosa, more popularly known as “Abra,” revealed he is currently busy getting ready for the release of his first self-titled album. Bale first solo album ko yun under Artifice records. Lalabas yung hard copy before Christmas. Promise ko matutuwa kayo doon. Sobrang sulit nun. Basta meron kayong reaction,” he shared during his launch as Torque mobile's newest endorser held last December 4 at One Esplanade in Pasay City.
The talented rapper admitted that he also just finished writing a song for It’s Showtime host Anne Curtis, but said that the public will just have to wait to hear it later this month. “Secret (laughs). It's for a secret song. Makikita niyo rin yun this December,” he revealed.

When asked what he thinks sets him apart from other homegrown rap artists, Abra said he is not afraid to speak his mind. Go lang ako ng go. Naka-ten steps ahead na ako simula ngayon,” he explained.

The self-confessed techie said he was happy to be approached to endorse Torque. He said he hopes his partnership with the brand can help him further promote his music. “Parang nakaka-proud din in a way and natutuwa ako dahil mahilig din ako sa technology. With that being said, nakita natin yung role ng music sa industriya. WE could use music for anything. Puwede siya sa pag-promote at madaming benefits so its good that OPM is growing. Astig. Mas madaming opportunities for everyone,” he said.

Apart from his album, Abra has also been busy performing in various charity events for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. Game kami diyan,” he added.

Next year sana makagawa pa ng mas marami pang single na malupit, yung mga music video ng album ko ilalabas ko at mas marami pang projects with everyone, iba't ibang genre at maglalabas kami ng album ng group ko LVP at international naman ang approach,” he shared.

One of the highlights of Abra's career was getting the chance to fulfill his dream collaboration with Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda in his new album. “In the future sana sila sir Ely Buendia o kaya si Eminem sana,” he said.

Known for his quick wit and meaningful rap, Abra shared why he never runs out of things to write about. “Kasi sa rap, unlimited eh. You out run out of things to talk about kasi laging may bagong balita at yung history sobrang lawak. And always keep it brilliant,” he said.
