Currently starring the afternoon soap Galema: Anak ni Zuma, Andi Eigenmann has now joined the cast of the much-awaited Primetime Bida fantaserye Dyesebel. Andi is set to play the role of Betty who will vie for Fredo's love (played by Gerald Anderson).

“Nung una siyempre medyo kinabahan ako kasi alam kong madami akong factors na dapat i-consider kung tatanggapin ko ito. Pero nung narinig ko kung anong role yung gagampanan ko, na-excite ako. Naisip ko na this will be a good idea because I’m very passionate about what I do and portraying the role of Betty na magiging kontrabida ni Ms. Anne Curtis sa Dyesebel, mas may maipapakita ako na iba naman na kaya kong gawin. I’m so happy that now I’m officially a part of Dyesebel. I’m sure it’s going to be an amazing production and I’m very excited. Nag-look test ako lalo akong na-excite dun ko naramdaman talaga na this is a whole new character I’m going to portray and I’ll always be excited about that because ang gusto ko lang naman talaga pag umaarte ako is bago na naman para mas marami pa akong matutunan,” she shared during her Dyesebel pictorial held last January 28 inside ABS-CBN.

The 23-year-old actress said she had no hesitations accepting the role of a bad girl in her new project. “Pag dating naman sa mga ganyang bagay wala naman akong hesitation as long as maganda yung role, sa tingin ko kaya kong maging magaling sa pag-portray ng role and at the same time it’s part of a good story. I don’t see any reason why I should hesitate to accept it,” she explained.

Andi said she hopes that the viewers will enjoy watching her in her new role. “Sa tingin ko ang klase ng kontrabida na magiging ako dito, just because it’s a fantaserye hindi ibig sabihin magiging sobrang dark or very comical. Siguro kahit papaano meron pa ring hugot ng katotohanan, naniniwala ako na this way mas makakakapit at mas maiintindihan din ako ng audience and at the same time ma-e-entertain sila hopefully sa maipapakita ko,” she admitted.

Another thing the Galema star looks forward to in the series is finally getting the chance to work again with her good friend Anne Curtis. The two worked together in 2012 film A Secret Affair. “I’m very excited to work with Anne again. Nakasama ko na siya sa isang pelikula so kaabang-abang for sure yung mga eksena namin together dito sa show na ito and she’s also my friend so I’m excited about that. At yung mga ibang kasama namin like Ms. Dawn (Zulueta), Ms. Ai-Ai (De las Alas), Ms. Eula (Valdez), Ms. Zsa Zsa (Padilla) and tito Gabby (Concepcion),” she said.

Andi will also be working with a new love interest for the very first time. “Si Gerald (Anderson) and si Sam (Milby) hinahangaan ko sila bilang actors and I’m very happy to be working with them also. Alam ko na madami akong matututunan sa kanila na mga panibagong experiences sa buhay ko na alam kong hindi ko kakalimutan at siguro bubuo rin ng bagong friendships kasi I actually have never met or been introduced to Gerald Anderson. Hindi pa kami nagkatrabaho,” she admitted.
