After recently starring in the Cinema One Originals film Red, Jericho Rosales said that he has had a very good year both personally and professionally. “It’s a very exciting state sa buhay ko and I wish sana hindi na matapos ang 2014. Kami ni Kim kasi ang dami naming napuntahan, we got married. Great things happened. But this time I just feel that the next years will be very exciting. I have a five-year plan for myself. My new management Cornerstone and Star Magic right know they’ve presented things sa akin. Kasi para akong guinea pig ngayon (laughs), we planned and we all agreed to what we’re going to do so I’m very excited locally and regionally for me. Acting and music, with a balance of the support of my wife. Andiyan si Kim, she has a career, plus everything is going well,” he shared.
Echo admitted that the most difficult scene he did for the indie film was an intimate one. Kailangan artistic yung pagkagawa mo. Tapos may love, may feeling, madaming nanunuod, mainit. Yun yung hindi ninyo alam eh,” he recalled.

After winning Best Actor awards in the past, Echo said he does not accept projects with the goal of going for a trophy anymore. It’s actually mali na nag-start ka gumawa kasi gusto mo manalo ng award and then you lose the fun. Mawawala yung joy kasi para kang nanganganak ng disappointment because pag nabuntis ka ng expectation and then nanganak ng disappointment ang hirap di ba?” he explained.

The 35-year-old actor shared how he copes with the constant pressure of delivering a good performance especially after he became a New York Festival awardee for Dahil May Isang Ikaw in 2011. “Makapal mukha ko sa set. Gusto ko quiet, kung magsisigaw ako dun. Kung meron akong time with my co-actor, bubunotin ko yung co-actor ko, sasabihin ko dito tayo usap tayo. For me it’s the right of every actor na maintindihan mo yung script whether you’re a beginner or not. That’s where you’ll get the respect of other people. Kailangan mong maging professional and alamin mo kung ano yung kailangan mo as an actor. Kasi at the end of the day, binabayaran ka para mag-deliver,” he said.
