Andi Eigenmann confessed that she broke down the first time she saw the photos of her ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito and his rumored new flame KC del Rosario.

The Kapamilya actress broke her silence for the first time since the photos of the two went viral online in a recent interview with PEP.

But even before she saw their photos, Andi shared that she already knew that KC and Jake have been exchanging messages even when they were still together. “No, kami pa nung summer, meron na silang something. So, it wasn’t the first time [I learned about Jake and KC]. It’s just that I really confirmed it [now],” she said.

She, however, clarified that there was no overlap between their relationships as she explained, “It wasn’t that it overlapped. While we were still together, nakita ko na kasi yung exchange of messages nila. So, parang alam ko na. Meron na akong ano [kutob]. Pero hindi ko in-expect na ‘pag naghiwalay kami, talaga palang magiging sila. Hindi ko in-expect.

But even if she saw the messages, Andi opted to keep what she learned to herself. With the surfacing of KC and Jake’s photos just months since they parted ways, many assumed that she was the reason why the two weren’t able to get back together.

Andi shared that Jake tried to win her back after their split with the latter even voicing his love for the former through his various social media posts.

To this Andi explained, “No, it wasn’t one of the reasons why we will never get back together because hiwalay naman na kami. And wala naman masama doon. Well, this second time around for him.

“Alam ko naman na walang masama dun kasi hindi naman na kami eh. He has his own life and if that's what he wants. Pero definitely, we won’t ever get back together because of that,' she added.

But the two weren’t able to patch things up which many thought was the reason why Jake decided to move on and get into a relationship with someone else.

Andi for her part confirmed his efforts but she reasoned that at that time it was difficult for her just to put things behind them.

“It was hard of course to just get him back right away. Siyempre marami rin akong napagdaanan. I’m not saying ako lang. Siyempre siya rin nasaktan ko. Nagkamali din naman ako. Pero magkaibang tao kami. Pinili kong unahin yung sarili ko. And yun po, nung nakilala niya si KC, hindi ko po sinabi na ayoko na talaga. Kasi alam niya po kung gaano ko siya kamahal. Pero it doesn’t mean I took it against him. Karapatan niya yun. Hindi naman na kami,' she stressed.

Even if she seemed composed about the end of their romance, Andi opened up that she also had her low moments especially when she saw Jake and KC’s photos.

“The first time I saw it, sobrang nag-break down talaga ako. Nasaktan talaga ako. It didn’t end in a day. It’s been going on every day. Of course, I see [their] pictures every day. It hurt so much that wala na po ako nararamdaman,' she claimed.

Although she’s still in pain over realizing that her “great love” has found someone new, Andi said she’s determined to start over again.

“For me, gugustuhin ko ba talaga ‘to para sa sarili ko? Mas gusto ko ba na umupo na lang dito at masaktan at tanggapin na lang lahat? [So I decided] to not just let it get to me and move on, because I know for a fact that I deserve something and someone better,” she ended.
