Comedian Vice Ganda’s beloved grandfather Gonzalo Dacumos has passed away on Christmas Day. The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin star took to his Twitter account to announce the sad demise of his 93-year-old Lolo.

Just a few days ago during his live appearance on The Buzz, Vice opened up about his lolo’s critical condition. According to him, his lolo is suffering from renal and respiratory failure due to old age.

While he’s sad about his lolo’s passing (whom he recounted was responsible for raising him when his mother decided to work abroad), Vice recognized his grandpa’s effort to make sure he’s in a good place.

Vice’s lolo’s remains were brought to The Ascension Chapels in Quezon City.

Meanwhile, messages of support poured in for Vice on Twitter as the hashtag '#BeStrongViceGanda” became a top worldwide trending topic on Friday.

Another close friend that showed support for Vice was his “asawa” Kris Aquino who took to her Instagram account her comforting words for the phenomenal star.
