Slater Young shared that he is learning a lot from his current stint as a host of Pinoy Big Brother All In’s online show Uber Time. “Kabado [ako] but I’m learning a lot kasi I’m really from PBB so masaya,” he said.

The PBB Big Winner relayed that he enrolled himself in a workshop under Boy Abunda in order to develop his hosting skills. “I took a workshop with Tito Boy, and I’ve learned a lot from that workshop and siyempre maganda rin na experience because I get to work with whom I'm comfortable with which is PBB. PBB family kasi I've known them since I got outside of the house eh so comfortable na ako sa kanila.”

Slater also reacted to the comments of some netizens that this season’s PBB is scripted. As a former housemate himself, he stressed that the show has never been scripted. “Never naman naging scripted talaga ang PBB kasi sabi ko nga if PBB is scripted kaming lahat ay award-winning actors na dapat di ba? So ‘yun lang and I think ‘yung audition process lang na hindi ini-expect ng mga tao na may papasok na celebrities, I think doon sila nagre-reklamo kasi hindi rin nasabi agad na 'yun yung mangyayari.”

The host-actor also shared his thoughts on comments that the housemates for this season are all too good-looking. ‘I don’t know pero sa opinion ko lang, una ganon din ang opinion ko nong ipinasok sila, kitang kita kasi nakaayos sila they were wearing good clothes sobrang ganda nila lahat, sobrang may hitsura pero the more I looked at it the more every day na ano parang ay baka lang naman pala, hindi naman pala lahat puro [mukhang] artista lang talaga,” he said.

Amid the controversies, this season’s PBB has been earning good ratings and is constantly trending on social media. Slater attributed the success of the show to the fans. “Kasi ever since ‘yung mga fans ng PBB very passionate talaga sila eh. Naririnig sila talaga ng management. Their words are taken into consideration and they have an active role in the process,” he said.
