061014-eric_main.jpgVocal about his support for Zsa Zsa Padilla's blossoming relationship with architect Conrad Onglao, Eric Quizon said he has always maintained a good friendship with his father's former partner even after the latter passed away two years ago.

Na-meet ko na si Conrad, nagkita na kami. We had lunch together with Zsa Zsa. He’s a good guy. I think he’s a good guy. But siyempre yung compatibility nila sila na bahala dun (laughs),” he said.

Eric admitted that Zsa Zsa is more than just his dad's partner in life but also a good friend to him. “Kami ni Zsa Zsa we’ve been friends for the longest time. Kasi nung nag-uumpisa din ako kasabay ko si Zsa Zsa na nag-uummpisa din sa pelikula. Nakasama ko siya sa mga pelikula ng daddy ko so ever since then magkaibigan kami. So even during the time na nagkasakit yung daddy ko and all that, lahat ng pinagdadaanan namin, we always discuss. Ka-telebabad ko yan si Zsa Zsa (laughs) so kung ano man ang nangyayari sa buhay niya, she’s very open about it. Open naman din siya sa pamilya namin. Like I’ve said before, kung saan masaya si Zsa Zsa, masaya kami para sa kanya,” he shared during the Ipaglaban Mo presscon.

Eric refuted rumors that Zsa Zsa is planning on walking down the aisle very soon. “Wala pa naman akong nababalitaan. Kung meron mang ganun I’m sure sasabihin ni Zsa Zsa sa akin yun. But like I said before, kung saan masaya si Zsa Zsa, dun kami masaya sa kanya. Pagka-magkaibigan kayo ng isang tao, no matter what happens, kung ano man ang desisyon niya or desisyon ko, kung wala namang ginagawang masama ang isang kaibigan then you will not tell the person na mali ang ginagawa mo. I don’t think Zsa Zsa is doing anything wrong,” he said.

After his father passed away at the age of 83, Eric said it was unfortunate that Dolphy and Zsa Zsa's marriage plans after 23 years of being together never came to be. “Nagplano sila twice. Yung una nagkasakit yung daddy ko tapos nung sunod naman yung annulment ni Zsa Zsa hindi lumabas,” he said. As the country marks the second death anniversary of the King of Comedy on July 10, Eric said the Quizon family are still planning what to do. “May mga plano so we’re still working on it. But definitely now there’s a game app, it’s called Dolphy Clean-Up so yun muna. Lumabas siya ng December pero hindi pa siya fully introduced but soon to be up and by the time na death anniversary niya and birthday niya tamang-tama it’s out na. It’s going to be carried by a big telecom company. I’ll discuss that some other time pag lumabas na siya,” he explained.

As administrator of the family estate, the 47-year-old director-actor said his love life will have to take a backseat for now. “Ako? Wala eh (laughs). Parang marami lang akong kailangan ayusin so yan diyan muna yan sa isang tabi (laughs). It’s something that I have to do, I promised my dad that so gusto kong maayos muna lahat,” he admitted.
