After being introduced on the Kapamilya network via the afternoon soap Moon of Desire, Ellen Adarna said she enjoyed doing her first movie project My Illegal Wife under Skylight Films for ABS-CBN. In the movie, she plays the role of Clariz, the real girlfriend of Zanjoe Marudo, a man who gets amnesia and is subsequently “claimed” by Pokwang as her husband.

Aside from being inspired by the hit Primetime Bida series My Legal Wife, the movie also features scenes which spoofing other Star Cinema films like Bride For Rent, She's The One, It Takes A Man and a Woman, and Starting Over Again. “Very light and funny lang kami dito, tawa lang kami ng tawa, ganun lang. Parang hindi nagtratrabaho, very light lang,” she said.

The 26-year-old model turned actress admitted she also enjoyed working with Zanjoe Marudo and Pokwang as well other comedians Empoy and Joy Viado for the very first time. “Parang very mysterious si Zanjoe. Tahimik lang siya eh. Very tahimik (laughs). Kasi pag nag-eksena namin lines lang tapos pag nasa tent kami pahinga lang. The other cast members naman they're very fun to work with and very light, very patient with me kasi bago lang ako (laughs). So minsan sinasabi ko talaga sa kanila, ‘Sorry po if magkamali ako. Please understand,’” she recalled.

Although many automatically peg her to be a sexy actress, Ellen said she actually did not have to bare a lot of skin in My Illegal Wife. “May isang eksena na pakita yung tiyan pero yun lang tapos stretching stretching, ganun. Wala namang mga kissing scene, walang mga lap dance. If ever may sexy naman na kailangan gawin, kasi required naman dun sa characters na kailangan ko gawin yun,” she added.

Currently in a relationship with a non-showbiz guy, Ellen said she is more attracted to tall guys. “Maybe because I'm small? (laughs). I'm only 5'1”. Para mas madali ako kargahin (laughs). Gusto ko talaga yung matangkad. Lahat ng mga boyfriends ko mga 6’1”. Yan talaga yung type ko. Hindi ko alam, ever since before gusto ko lang ng matangkad. Para pang-carry everywhere (laughs). Ang liit-liit ko kasi eh (laughs),” she admitted.
