Alex Gonzaga admits needing to find ‘closure’ as a PBB housemate

Almost a week since stepping out of the famous Big Brother house, Alex Gonzaga finally answered the most pressing intrigues that she got embroiled into as a celebrity guest housemate on the reality show.

Among them was her spat with former housemate Axel Torres over a bag of chips which caused the latter to cry last May.

During her live appearance on the Sunday episode of The Buzz, Alex admitted that she initially thought that Axel was over-acting when he responded to the incident that way.

“‘Yung totoo OA [over-acting]. ‘Yun talaga ‘yung una kong ni-react nung sinabi sakin nila Jane [Oineza] na kausapin mo nalang siya two to three days. Sabi ko ‘Grabe naman hindi maka move on?’ Wala talaga ‘yung intention ko na kunan siya ng chichirya kasi kumain naman ako ng chichirya, shinare ko naman sa lahat. So talagang sabi ko ‘Bakit nagiging issue ang chichirya?’” she wondered.

But then, she said that after speaking to Big Brother she was able to realize the gravity of what she did and how the junk food was heir “outlet” inside the house that “Doon namin na-e-express ‘yung mga emotion namin. So na-realize ko na kapag siya ‘yung may gusto hindi niya nakuha tapos nung ako ‘yung may gusto naipilit ko.”

Meanwhile, by her sister and interviewer Toni Gonzaga’s prodding Alex also revealed why she considers former housemate Cess Visitacion as the most distrustful one inside the house.

“Dahil sinabi mo,” she told her sister Toni.

She quickly added somehow laughingly, “Oh! Pagkalabas na pagkalabas ko sinabi mo sakin ‘binackstab ka ni Cess tsaka ni Axel.’ ‘Yun ang sinalubong niya sakin. Tapos nung tinanong mo ako sa PBB hindi mo na ako binigyan ng chance na ilaglag ka. Kung ako nilaglag mo, ilalaglag din kita.”

Living outside the PBB House

According to Toni, she has noticed that her sister has been “over-acting” ever since she exited the PBB house so much so that she tends to stare pointlessly on the live airing of PBB All In 24/7 or sometimes she randomly bursts into tears.

To this, the Pure Love star explained,“Hindi kasi nung kinausap ako ni Doc Randy kakalabas ko lang, hindi pa nagsi-sink in sakin na lumabas ako ng bahay. Tapos ikaw nanaman ‘yung nagpa-ano sakin, pagkauwing-pagkauwi natin sinabi mo ‘Catherine oh dati nandiyan ka, ngayon andito kana samin.’ So parang na-realize ko, ‘Ay oo nga! Wala na ako doon tapos ako ang pinaguusapan ng mga housemates.’ So once again, it’s you again.”

Last Saturday though, Alex was once again allowed to go inside the house and according to Toni it was after that opportunity that her sister was able to attain closure.

“Oo, I was Ginny that time,” Alex replied in reference to Toni’s role in Starting Over Again about a woman who was seeking closure from her former flame played by Piolo Pascual.

“Nung pumasok ako, parang na-realize ko na [tapos na]. Kasi nung pumasok ako, ang unang sumalubong sa akin si Cheridel. Tapos na-realize ko ay hindi ko siya kilala, hindi ko siya housemate, so parang bagong mukha na. So napunta na kaagad sa utak ko na hindi na ako doon nakatira,” said the The Voice Kids host about the newest PBB All In housemate “Elevator Girl” Cheridel Alejandrino.

Alex says coming inside the house anew made her feel that “hindi na 'yun 'yung dati kasi hindi ko na alam ang ginagawa nila.”

She further admitted, “So parang kinailangan ko lang siguro ng ganung moment para lang ma-realize ko lang talaga na hindi na nila ako kasama, na hindi ako part. Kasi 'yung one week na wala ako, feeling ko housemate pa din ako.”
