In a taped interview aired on The Buzz on Sunday, Anne opted not to address the media’s question as to whether or not she approves of her sister’s relationship with Sam.

“Whatever makes her happy. ‘Yun ‘yon for me. Whatever makes someone happy you can’t do anything about it,” said Anne.

But she did however admit, that she came to a point that when she wanted her sister not to be in a relationship yet.

Kahit sino naman Ate ayaw muna na mag-boyfriend ang baby sister diba? You’d like to protect her as much as you can or if ever you’d like someone who really values her worth. So ‘yun lang ang hanap ko sa isang lalaki,” the It’s Showtime host explained.

While Anne belied the incident, the former Mirabella star confirmed that he and Anne “talked” and that he “understands where she’s coming from” as an older sister. But he emphasized that he has reached out to Anne and that things eventually became “okay” between them.

Asked if their relationship improved after that encounter, Anne indirectly addressed it and shared that even if they are admittedly not close “we say ‘Hi’ naman to each other.”

Anne could only reply “'Di ba, 'di ba?' when the media pointed out the Filipino tradition that boyfriends should make an effort in reaching out to his girlfriend’s family.

Does it mean that he has no effort?

“No comment, no comment,” ended the actress.
