Ellen Adarna on posing nude: ‘This is for art’

As one of the sexiest actresses on daytime television, Ellen Adarna admitted her career has taken a big turn after transferring to the Kapamilya network. “Compared to before I think ang laki ng difference kasi nakilala ako sa soap and iba yung audience ng ABS-CBN,” she admitted.

Ellen said she has not changed her image for the sake of showbiz. “I'm still the same. It's just that I choose places to drink, choose places to make wala. I'm more careful but the things I do, I'm still the same (laughs). Diyos ko, kung makita niyo ako sa set, yagit talaga. Sa public hindi niyo ako makikilala kasi wala akong make-up at saka naka-tsinelas lang ako. Minsan nga dinadaanan lang ako. Sa kalsada may nakakapansin pero meron ding ibang hindi. Pero compared to before napapansin talaga ako. At saka mabilis ako lumakad (laughs),” she said.

With her family based in Cebu, Ellen said she is not exactly sure what they think of her career. “Actually hindi nila sinasabi at saka hindi rin ako nagtatanong kasi ang weird eh. Iba kasi yung relationship ko with my family. Tinatanong lang nila kung kailan ako uuwi. Deadma (laughs). Deadma talaga sila. My mom lang tumatawag once a week, nangangamusta and then yun lang, tinatanong kung anong nanagyayari sa akin. You know what, hindi naman sila walang pakialam but I think they're proud of me in a way na yung mommy ko compared to before, almost everyday tumatawag sinasabi, 'Umuwi ka na, wala ka namang ginagawa diyan.' Ngayon once a week na lang kasi feeling ko alam niya na I'm doing something productive and I'm busy,” she explained.

Not shy to admit that she has posed nude in the past, the 26-year-old mestiza actress said it is okay with her as long as it is for the sake of her craft and not for a sex video. “I have nude photos from a photo shoot. Videos I don't have so ipakita na lang muna nila before sila magkalat but I've done nude photo shoots even before I started showbiz. But this is for art. So nude siya so hindi mo malalaman na ako kasi yung mukha namin ang dumi dumi,” she said.

Ellen said she would still consider posing nude if it is a good project. “It depends kung gusto ko yung project then why not? Hindi naman porke't nag-level up ng konti choosy ka na ganun. But it really depends sa concept,” she added.

When she did a workout video that instantly went viral online because she was not wearing a sports bra underneath a skimpy workout shirt, Ellen said she had no idea it would become so popular. “Kung alam lang nila kung ano ginamit kong pantakip nun. Band-aid! That's my secret (laughs). That wasn't meant to be viral and we didn't expect it to go viral kasi we did it for fun, me and my friend. Project niya yun for film school. Nagkataon lang na nung in-upload niya, naging viral so wala kaming intensyon na maging ganun. May takip, hindi naman ako nag-nude. Pero wala akong sports bra. Eh kasi naman my boobs are fake so hindi siya masakit kasi hindi siya totoo. So hindi ko alam bakit nagiging issue sa mga tao na masakit daw. For me hindi naman,” she admitted.

Ellen said that her fitness goal to achieve 18% body fat instead of the 21% she has now. “Wala akong diet for now pero if I diet talagang asin, kamote, chicken and fish lang. Pero talagang paghahandaan ko yan sa fashion show sa September para hindi ganito yung katawan ko. I'm sure sila din nag-pe-prepare. Of course ayaw naman namin mag-mukhang tanga. Sino ba naman gusto yun?” she said.

When it comes to the sexiest part of her body, Ellen said she is thankful for her good genes. “I think my skin kasi yun yung sinasabi ng tao na maganda yung balat ko. Actually wala akong linalagay. Nagmana lang ako sa mommy ko. Ever since wala akong problema sa balat, kahit mga mura lang na makeup ginagamit hindi talaga ako nagkaka-pimples. Actually kung anu-anong soap lang sa bahay ginagamit ko sa face ko. Thank you lord,” she said.
