Julia Barretto says that there’s no awkwardness working with Kenzo Gutierrez

In an interview with PUSH.com.ph, Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto talked about working with Pinoy Big Brother 737’s former teen housemate Kenzo Gutierrez. They are set to be paired in some episodes of Wansapanataym.

“It has something to do with [the] selfie. It’s funny because in some way, parang ako rin naman maselfie so siguro medyo mapa-parallel ang character ko in that way. But then I want na mapanood nila kasi it will be magic and all.” Julia also said that they have not started taping yet.

Julia also shared that Kenzo is now a part of their upcoming teleserye, And I Love You So, “His role is very important and very special ang character niya sa And I Love You So but I want it to be a surprise kasi hindi siya papasok agad sa week 1 eh, parang later on pa so it’s a surprise what his role is pero sobrang ganda ng role niya and very close ang characters namin.”

When asked about her working experience with Kenzo considering that they were romantically linked after the latter admitted that he dated her, Julia said, “We’re still really good friends and he’s actually doing good for a first-timer. Magaling naman siya. It’s been fun. It’s really been fun working with him.”

But, was there an air of awkwardness between them?

Julia answered, “Surprisingly, no awkwardness at all. When he got out of the (PBB) house and then we did the first taping day for And I Love You So, actually before that, I saw him pa nga sa ASAP... There was zero awkwardness. I’m happy that it was like that.”

Meanwhile, Julia was also asked about Kamille Filoteo, another PBB 737 teen housemate who was also linked to Kenzo while inside Big Brother’s house.

“I met Kamille and she’s a very sweet girl, actually. I met her just recently like two days ago. We bumped into each other in one restaurant. She was with my good friend… She’s very simple and very sweet,” Julia said.
