As he marked his return to ABS-CBN by inking a two-year exclusive contract, Robin Padilla expressed excitement to get back to working in the Kapamilya network once again.

While he doesn’t have any specific actors at the network that he wants to work with, the action star stressed that he wants to take on father roles. “Ako naman ang lagi kong pinapakiusap sa pamunuan ng ABS, ‘yung father and son or father and daughter,” he said.

As much as possible, Robin said he’s done with having leading ladies. “Sa mga leading lady strict ang parents ko eh. Bawal na ang kissing scene. Family-oriented muna. Mas gusto ko muna ang family drama,” he said.

Before leaving the ABS-CBN years ago, Robin’s last project was the sitcom Todamax together with Angel Locsin. If it were up to Robin, he wouldn’t mind working again with the highly-acclaimed actress.

“Oo kasi hindi pa kami nakakagawa ng drama,” he said.

Meanwhile, it turns out that Robin was in the loop regarding Angel’s recent battle with a spine injury which led her to turn down the iconic Darna role.

“Tsaka nalulungkot rin naman ako sa naganap sa likod niya. Alam mo para sa akin, sa lahat ng nabahagian ko ng training sa martial arts, siya talaga ang nakita kong may potential,” said Robin.

“Pero siyempre tapos na ‘yun kasi mas magiging masaya siya sa decision niya. Kung sino man ‘yung magiging Darna isipin nalang natin sana maging kasing galing ni Angel,” Robin added.

Angel recently flew to Singapore to undergo neuro-spine surgery.
