The actress’ father sent a surprise letter to her which was read by Heart’s cousin, Happy Ongpauco, at the wedding reception. Caught by surprise, the letter moved Heart to tears.</div><div><br/></div><div>In the letter, as posted by GMA News reporter Nelson Canlas on Instagram, Reynaldo wrote that their only wish for their daughter is to be happy as she welcomes a new chapter in her life with husband Chiz Escudero. &#x27;This is it. You are about to enter a new chapter in your life. Your mom and I taught you the proper values in life. And you are old enough to know what&#x27;s right or wrong. My only wish is to see you both happy,&#x27; he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Heart&#x27;s dad admitted that he really wanted to walk her to the altar but with their circumstances and for undisclosed reasons, they chose not to attend the wedding. <i>&#x27;Alam mo anak, gustong-gusto kitang ihatid sa altar. Sino ba naman ang ama na ayaw makita ang kanyang anak sa pinaka-importanteng araw ng buhay niya.</i> But a lot of things have happened that hinder us from going,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Reynaldo also asked Chiz to love their daughter wholly and unconditionally. <i>&#x27;Sana</i> Chiz, <i>mahalin mo nang buong buo ang anak namin.</i> Accept everything about her. Take care of her and love her unconditionally. Just like her mom and I loved her unconditionally.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Heart’s father promised that if they will see their daughter receive the kind of love that she deserves, he will go to Heart and Chiz. “This is my promise – when the day comes that I see both of you truly happy, when I see Chiz loving you the way you deserve to be loved, I will come knocking at your door. I may not be there right now but I am thinking of you Heart,” he concluded.</div>
