As her 18th birthday approaches, Julia Barretto shares more interesting facts about the event during her presscon held last March 4. Just Julia will be held on March 10, Tuesday at rhw Rizal ballroom of the Makati Shangri-la hotel.
1. Julia never wanted to have a debut“With all honesty kasi I never really dreamt of having a debut, I never thought I would have a debut kasi I’ve always wanted to just travel on my 18th birthday. Actually my original plan was to ask for a short break to travel because I really want to go around Europe. And then they told me na it’s something that I have to celebrate kasi it’s a special day for me. So I thought why not spend it with everybody that I love and close to especially to my fans. I want to be able to share the whole experience in saying goodbye to the childhood with them. So far naman the process of planning for a debut has been fun. I ended up liking it also. I’m happy I’m going to have a debut.”
2. The reason behind calling it “Just Julia”“I really liked the idea of JustJulia kasi parang I’m always associated with being a Barretto, everything na lang that I am according to everybody whatever I achieve is because I’m a Barretto and then yung mga judgment sa akin siyempre iba yung tingin nila sa akin. But then again here sa special na ito we’re going to showcase who I really am behind the camera, what makes me a normal teenager like everybody and what makes me just Julia. Dun niyo makikita why I’m just like everyone else.”![030515-julia1.jpg]()
3. The debut theme is white, gray and silver“I think it represents me a lot. I didn’t want to go very colorful kasi then I won’t be true to myself kasi hindi talaga ako colorful type of person. I really try to put some colors. For me, it represents elegance and sophistication.”
4. The horse is the symbol she chose“Meron tayong horses sa invitations. Siguro because a horse can be very elegant, very ladylike but at the same time very young also. Depende siguro sa perspective ng tao.”
5. She will have 19 Roses and 18 Candles“Because sobrang tagal makakumpleto talaga ng 18 roses especially pag marami kang gusting kuhanin from the business kasi again March 10 is a Tuesday and I have some friends there na may tapings or may prior sched and commitments so I just wanted to be safe. Ang importante is nalagay ko ang lahat ng gusto kong maging part ng candles ko. Whoever will make it will be there, whoever will not, meron akong gusting ilagay dun na malalagay as the replacement.”
Part of her 19 candles will be Dani Barretto, ClaudiaBarretto, Patita Tumpalan, Maja Salvador, ErichGonzales, Alora Sasam, Natalia Ortega, NicoleBarretto, Cris Navarro, Marissa Kalaw, Pokwang, RBChanco, Lala Flores, Denise Heredia, Coy Barretto, EllaPangilinan, Liz Uy and Janella Salvador. Ayoko naman sagutin ang mga prices na yan, nakakahiya. Baka sabihin magastos ako.”

7. She will be wearing a Michael Cinco gown“Yes, oh my baka naman ma-offend si Michael if i-share ko sa inyo (price ng gown). It’s not sponsored. It’s actually a gift. Pero not sponsored.”
