Boy Abunda explains why ‘The Buzz’ is going off the air

<div><img src="" alt="040615-buzz_main.jpg" width="400" height="290" align="left" border="0"/>After 16 years, showbiz-oriented talk show <i>The Buzz </i>is bidding a temporary goodbye to its Sunday viewers.</div><div><br/></div><div>The announcement that the show is going off-air was made by co-host Boy Abunda on the April 5 episode saying that, “<i>Opo </i>I’m confirming to you that this is our last show. <i>Mula </i>April 12 <i>wala na po kayong mapapanood na The Buzz.”</i></div><div><br/></div><div>Admitting that a part of him “died today,” the King of Talk shared that he was initially in denial about the show’s ending.</div><div><br/></div><div><i>“Hindi po ako magkukunwari na okay ako. Hindi po ako magkukunwari na hindi ako nasasaktan. Hindi ako magkukunwari na</i> I am not hurting, that I am not bleeding inside because I am. We have evolved into different people today. A lot of things have changed. The people behind The Buzz have changed and even you (audience) have changed,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>“Showbiz news is here to stay. We may come back individually or as a group, I don’t know. The showbiz talk show genre is not going to die, it will continue and we will come back.
