For 16 years, showbiz-oriented show The Buzz has been an authority in breaking explosive exclusives. With the show ending last weekend, Push.com.ph lists the 10 best interviews and stories that the show has aired.


1. Charice Pempengco speaks up after coming out





It was the confirmation that almost everyone needed back in mid-2013 following her change in fashion sense and her “coming out” a few days earlier at the birthday party of her columnist godfather Bum Tenorio.



During her interview, the “Pyramid” singer thanked the fans who supported “the real her.”

2. Ai-Ai delas Alas’ failed romance with Jed Salang





Ai-Ai delas Alas’s tearful revelation about her short-lived marriage with former husband Jed Salang shocked the public as she turned from being a smitten lover to a battered wife.



The veteran actress tied the knot with Jed in Las Vegas in April 3 only to decide to break up with him on May 2 after claiming she was physically abused by her new husband.




3. Vhong Navarro speaks up after being assaulted by Cedric Lee and company





Who could ever forget the look on Vhong Navarro’s face as he was being interviewed by host Boy Abunda in February of last year after being attacked in Taguig after by Cedric Lee and his cohorts? In the interview, which was held inside the hospital with Vhong’s face swollen and bruised, the It’s Showtime host recounted how a group of men ganged up on him for supposedly raping model Deniece Cornejo.



4. KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual breakup

Ending months of speculation about the status of her then relationship with Piolo Pascual, KC Concepcion back in 2011 admitted on national TV that they had called it quits.



Without directly admitting what tore them apart, the actress-singer dropped meaningful lines during the interview including, “

May mga hinahanap ako na napaka-basic lang na hanapin ng isang babae sa isang boyfriend, sa isang lalaki. Ayaw ko na siguro pumunta sa details kasi parang ayaw kong siraan siya

5. Billy Crawford on Nikki Gil breakup





A serious Billy Crawford faced Boy Abunda in 2013 for the first time after his breakup with then girlfriend Nikki Gil surfaced. At that time, the cause of the ending of their four-and-a-half-year romance remained unknown, but Billy stressed that Nikki “has no fault” and neither was he “a perfect guy.”



According to Billy, “I’m the one who’s completely lost and I’m searching. I asked her this. You know, give me that chance to find myself since it’s very difficult. I tend to hurt her.”




6. JM de Guzman on using drugs




After a year of being away from the limelight, JM de Guzman came back into the business an explosive admission in August 2014 that he indeed used illegal drugs which led to his absence from the business.

Asked what triggered him to plead that he be sent to a rehabilitation facility, the actor said: “

Mentally, hindi na ako makapag-isip ng diretso. Hindi ko na mapagkatiwalaan 'yung mga sarili kong desisyon, responsibilidad at disiplina nawawala na rin sa akin. Wala na, emotionally hindi ko na kaya i-control.



7. Phoemela Baranda on hiding daughter Nichole Baranda

In an effort to correct her past mistakes and come clean, model-turned-TV-host Phoemela Baranda divulged her best kept secret by introducing her 15-year-old daughter named Kim.

What started as a blind item posted by Ruffa Gutierrez on her social media site about someone texting her nasty messages back in 2011 was eventually confirmed by Shaina Magdayao herself.

Shaina admitted that she did send the message to Ruffa, who happened to be the ex-girlfriend of her then-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz, to tell the former beauty queen leave them alone.
