Matt Evans to play gay role in KimXi movie

Actor Matt Evans will be part of the powerhouse cast of the first ABS-CBN Mobile StarFlix movie entitled, Must Date the Playboy, set for release this August. The film’s lead stars include Kim Chiu, Xian Lim and Jessy Mendiola.

“Basically, it’s a story of tatlong magbe-best friends na magkakasundo lagi. ‘Yung dalawa kong best friends, na-in love ‘dun sa playboy which is Xian. ‘Dun talaga umikot ‘yung story kasi kumbaga typical playboy na kailangan mong ma-in love at gusto naming bawian at the same time kasi nasaktan ‘yung isa naming kaibigan,” said Matt about the story, adding that it will showcase teamwork and understanding between friends.

According to Matt, he will play role of Nathan, the gay best friend. “One of the besties ng grupo ni Victoria (Kim) and ni Chloe (Jessy).” Moreover, he added that he was challenged with Nathan’s character considering that he has already played a homosexual character in the 2012 movie The Reunion. “’Yung sa Reunion kasi, one of the kaibigan pero medyo light. The 28-year-old actor also shared that how happy he is working on the set of Must Date the Playboy. “Sa’kin, every day is a very, very wonderful experience kasi sobrang happy set kami. ‘Yung yung masasabi ko na kahit nagmamadali, kahit minsan nakikita mo ‘yung iba na umiinit ‘yung ulo pero at the end of the day, we’re so happy na natatapos namin, nakakarami kami ng scenes tapos ang saya saya ng set.
