082415-dennis_main.jpgIn his second movie project this year, Dennis Trillo brings to life the role of Felix Manalo, the First Executive Minister of Iglesia ni Cristo in monumental film that traces the origin of the INC church. Dennis said he considers himself lucky to be recommended for the role by the film's director Joel Lamangan. “Katoliko ako eh, kaya nagulat ako nung sabi nila ako yung gaganap. Gusto nila siguro kung sino ang makakaganap at mapapanindigan yung role na yun,” he shared during the Felix Manalo grand presscon held last August 20 at the Gloria Maris Restaurant in Quezon City.

The actor also admitted he is still overwhelmed after he finished 57 shooting days in over eight months for the film. “Ngayon ko lang na-ri-realize unti-unti na this is the role of a lifetime.

One of the people who is happy for him is his current TV series co-star and former flame Jennylyn Mercado. “Natuwa lang siya para sa akin. Siyempre alam niya kung gaano kalaki yung Iglesia so naiisip rin niya siguro yung posibilidad kung gaano ito magiging isang malaking project,” he said. Even though there is speculation that there might be a reconciliation between the two of them, Dennis says work is his main focus for now, “We're very well. Maayos naman lahat. Hindi naman ito ulit yung first time namin magkatrabaho pero ito yung first time magkatrabaho five years ago. Lahat maganda kaya thank you Lord.”
