John Wayne Sace’s sister Queen Sace confirmed on her Facebook page that the former teen star is now out of danger after getting shot by unidentified gunmen in Pasig City, yesterday evening, October 10.

In a report by Manila Bulletin, two men who were riding a motorcycle shot John Wayne and his friend Erik “Erik Mata” Sabino. Unfortunately, his friend was dead on arrival at the hospital.

The two were reported to be on the PNP’s drug watch list but have already surrendered to the authorities via Oplan Tokhang.

“My brother is out of danger. In behalf of our family, we thank all those who prayed for his safety. Opposite from what was in the news or in the social media, my brod had undergone series of test[s] and now in a stable vitality,” Queen wrote.

In John Wayne’s previous interviews with the media, he admitted that he had been battling with drug addiction.
