Alice reveals that ‘having a child’ is one of the reasons why she and Fil-Canadian husband didn’t lasts

Sa bihirang pakikipagtsikahan ni Alice Dixson sa entertainment press ay inamin niya na medyo naging paranoid siya nu’ng mga unang taon ng relasyon nila ng foreigner boyfriend after niyang ma-porce sa kanyang ex-husband.

“I was (paranoid) the first two years siguro. I’m always comparing him to my ex husband—yung qualities ng ex-husband ko and how does one know that one is the love of their life. Kasi, ‘I just met you, how can you tell me I’m the love of your life, I don’t believe you,’ di ba?

“So I try to think na lang na give this person a chance. He’s not the same person, di ba? Leave your other relationship and get to know this new person and give him a chance. And if it doesn’t work, then it didn’t work but at least you gave that person a chance,” simulang pahayag ng former beauty queen.

Sey ng aktres, “Number one lesson, you can’t change somebody. Kasi I wanted to change that person to be more like what I wanted in a partner, pero wala, eh… you cannot, especially men. They will always be the way they are. So it’s either you accept or walk away,” share pa niya.

Alice was married for 13 years pero hindi sila nagkaanak ng kanyang Filipino-Canadian ex-husband. Aminado siya na ang hindi nila pagkakaroon ng anak ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit hindi sila nagtagal ng unang asawa.

“It’s one of our reasons why we didn’t last… we didn’t agree on having a child. We had our own views,” pag-amin niya.

Pero wala raw naman sa kanya ang problema.

“I hope not because I’m still trying, eh,” sabay knock on wood niya na natatawa.

Patuloy pa ni Alice, “That’s been my wish for a couple of years na and we’re still trying. Even if I’m 47, people are saying I’m too old, pero siguro we’ll try another year. If nothing happens, baka mag-adopt na lang ako. But I’m ready (to get pregnant) anytime.”

Nasa Middle East ang boyfriend ngayon ni Alice, pero paano ba nagwo-work sa kanya ang long distance relationship (LDR)?

“He’s not on social media at all. He’s very conservative, eh. Well, we Skype naman, phone call. He was here a couple of weeks ago naman and every quarter we see each other. He’ll be back in January and hopefully by then he’ll have an offer to come here,” pagtatapos ng dating beauty queen.
