020716-LIZQUEN.jpgComing from the success of their last soap Forevermore, Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano admitted there is pressure for their latest project Dolce Amore to be a hit as well. As one of the most popular love teams in the country today, Lizquen said that they actually handle pressure differently.

With an almost six-year age gap between them, it’s understandable that Quen’s experience in showbiz helps him adjust faster. The Kapamilya hunk shared what he thinks of stress of being popular. 'I try to not think about it. Sinasabi ko huwag ko na lang isipin kasi sa Forevermore when we were shooting sa Baguio wala kaming signal, we didn’t have any cellphones. Shoot lang kami ng shoot and then a couple of months after sinabi nila na ang lakas ng Forevermore. We didn’t know about it. So siguro nakita nila yung closeness namin. Because we didn’t have cellphones, yung buong cast kuwentuhan lang. So siguro the bonding na nangyari without thinking about anything, your just in the mountains, it made us forget about everything. We didn’t have to try, it just came so naturally siguro,” he said.

The 24-year-old actor said letting things happen naturally is a good way to be more relatable to their fans. 'I think the secret to having chemistry is having not trying to have chemistry. It just comes naturally. So yun ang na-realize ko. I didn’t have to think about it, just enjoy. It’s hard not to be hard on yourself. Pero minsan ganun eh. The more you think about it, halatang you’re trying hard. Just believe in yourself and enjoy, and people will see that,” he admitted.

Having been in showbiz for a little over two years, Liza said she is still psyching herself up for how people will react to her new teleserye where she plays a young socialite named Serena Marchesa who crosses paths with a regular working class guy. “Pagdating sa pressure ako kabaligtaran ni Quen. I tend to overthink. Ako yung talagang hard on myself,” she shared.

Liza said she wants to keep setting a higher bar for herself when it comes to acting. 'Kasi I get scared that like one day hindi ako magiging kasing as good as my last show. So I want every show to have something different and to be able to show that I am capable of giving something else, offering something else to the audience. And I just want that the management can also see more potential in me and that I can do other things. Parang ganun,” she added.

Watch Dolce Amore starting February 15, Monday weeknights on ABS-CBN. Also starring Matteo Guidicelli, Cherie Gil, Kean Cipriano, Andrew E., Sunshine Cruz, and Edgar Mortiz. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
