As part of the cast of the original Kapamilya superhero series My Super D, Myrtle Sarrosa admitted she feels happy with her new show which stars Dominic Ochoa, Marco Masa, Bianca Manalo, and Marvin Agustin. 'Actually sobrang excited ko kasi it’s always been a dream to do a fantaserye kasi I’m always into animes and I’m always into comics. So kahit hindi ako superhero dito it’s a dream come true na I’m going to work in a teleserye that involves a superhero. Tapos it’s going to be one of the most unlikely superheros pa kaya nung nalaman ko I was really grateful and it’s also my first regular work for Dreamscape. Kasi yung una kong trabaho ko sa kanila was recently lang sa Ang Probinsyano tapos after that they tapped me kagad for Super D kaya ang grateful ko din,” she told Push.com.ph.
In My Super D, Myrtle plays the role of Cherry who is the youngest of three sisters who live in the same neighborhood as Super D. 'Ako yung youngest sa magkakapatid so ako yung medyo girly but at the same time sexy. So kami yung mga girls na eventually the story will go na trouble will come to each one of us tapos isi-save kami ni Super D,” she explained.

Myrtle admitted working with comedian Ryan Ryems for the first time was also fun. 'Si Ryan nakatrabaho ko siya on the set lang so enjoy naman ako kasama siya. Nakakatawa siya kasi kahit serious siya magsalita pero yung mga hirit niya may humor and at the same time very witty kaya lagi niya kaming napapatawa.”

After her breakup with Brian Poe Llamanzares (son of candidate Grace Poe) last year, the 21-year-old actress said she is finally ready to start dating again. 'Wala, wala akong boyfriend (laughs). I’m open to dating. Ako naman as long as there’s like a spark, of course anything is possible. Siguro kasi it’s been a year after my break up before. I think I can finally say that I’ve moved on this year. When 2016 started masasabi ko na ngayon na I finally moved on,” she admitted.

Myrtle said she is also ready to face her ex whom she has not communicated with for almost a year now. The My Super D actress also defended him from those hoping to discredit his family’s credibility. 'Nasabi ko na ito sa ibang interview eh. I did not talk to him when he wanted to talk to me but siguro now that I’m finally okay, if he talks to me I can finally tell him na yeah I’m okay na and I’m happy for him. Kasi everyone’s trying to judge him and his family but all I can say is he’s not a materialistic person. He’s a really kind person. Sobrang bait niya and minsan yung mga sinasabi sa news are not true about him. He’s really kind and he really cares for the country and his family really cares for the country,” she added.

The popular cosplayer also admitted that despite her past with Brian, she would still consider his mother as her presidential candidate. 'Honestly yes I would vote for his mom. Not because of that connection. Ako kasi personally I believe that she is the person na is rightful to be a president. Ayoko na mag-delve into things (laughs). She was always very kind. She was one of the sweetest persons na nakilala ko in the world. She genuinely cared for me kaya. Pero that is not the reason why I’m voting for her. It’s because she just really deserves to be a president,” she shared.
