For Daniel Padilla, the recent interview with his perennial love team partner Kathryn Bernardo that got him called out by some netizens was a non-issue.

During an interview at the Pangako Sa’Yo appreciation lunch, the Teen King was caught being “too cozy” on cam towards the Teen Queen.

Daniel, who had a total of eight advance birthday parties organized by his fans among them the Danielistaz and the KathNiel KaDreamers on Tuesday, finally addressed the issue.

“Grabe naman, PDA ba ‘yon? Hindi naman PDA ‘yon,” the soon-to-be 21-year-old star began. “PDA in a good way naman siguro.”

According to DJ, “Talagang mahirap ngang itago. Hindi naitatago ang ganon eh. Masaya lang talaga ako kay Kathryn. Dahil kapag masaya si Kathryn, parang ang saya saya ko rin, parang wala na akong problema.”

Earlier this week, Daniel and Kathryn appeared in the pilot episode of the new morning talk show titled Magandang Buhay which was hosted by Karla Estrada, Melai Cantiveros, and Jolina Magdangal.

When prodded to reveal the true status between them, Daniel simply quipped: “Actions speak louder than words.”

The said remark made a number of netizens feel that a blatant “confirmation” from them is the only thing that could complete the equation.

“‘Yun nalang ba ang kulang? Oh eh hayaan nalang muna nating kulang ‘yun,” he teased.

But what’s stopping them from admitting the real score between them?

“Hindi naman sa hindi maamin. Basta, just wait for the best. In God’s perfect timing. ‘Wag tayong ma-pressure sa mga tao,” he said. “Relax lang, ang sarap kaya ng ganito.”

Despite this, Daniel agreed that “Oo kulang pa sa admission” however he points out that “gusto ko kapag nalaman na ng mga tao perfect timing talaga. Special ‘iyon eh.”

If ever the time comes that they would be admitting the real score between them, Daniel is likely to let the public know.

“Mukha bang naitatago ‘yun? Hindi nga naitatago ‘yung affection eh. ‘Yung affection mahirap itago ‘yan kung talagang importante ang tao sayo. Mahirap magpanggap. Mahirap umarte,” he said.

In the end, Daniel belied rumors that it he was the one who “taught” Kathryn how to be affectionate.

“Hindi naman. Siguro lahat naman kasi tayo may ways tayo. Eh ako ‘yung PDA person ako. Si Kathryn ‘yung mas close lang,” he said with laugh.
