061316-PatSugui_PUSH.jpgAs part of the upcoming still untitled movie featuring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, Star Magic artist Pat Sugui shared he is used to working with the popular love team.

“It’s fun. Kasi DJ is my best friend ‘di ba? We’ve done so many projects na together like Princess and I, Got 2 Believe, Sisterakas and Pangako Sa ‘Yo. So many projects na together so sa amin wala na lang yun, it’s all fun and games but pagdating sa harap ng camera work is work pero masaya working with your best friend,” he said during the Watsons Men event held last June 9 at The Podium in Ortigas.

Unlike his co-stars, Pat said he is not part of the cast that will be shooting in Barcelona this month.

'I’m not going to Spain. My role stays here in the country. Sayang nga eh (laughs). I had one shooting day na. Sila DJ at Kath next na ata is sa Spain na,” he revealed.

The young actor says he wants to keep mum about sharing more details about his role until official promo for the movie begins. 'Not yet eh kasi hindi pa rin nila na-she-share kung ano yung role nila so I guess hindi pa pwede,” he told Push.com.ph.

Being part of Daniel Padilla’s inner circle, Pat said their barkada has no issues with who is more popular or successful.

'No, no, no. Kahit nga hindi work magkakasama naman kami so masaya talaga. Walang selosan walang ganun kasi everyone’s busy rin naman with their own jobs so ayun,” he explained.

Now single after his breakup with blogger Arisse De Santos (who is also one of Kathryn Bernardo’s closest friends), Pat admitted he is doing okay and it has not affected their common circle of friends.

'We’re not together anymore. It’s okay and I don’t think she really wants to be an artista. We’re still friends. We’re on good terms. No bad blood.”

With DJ recently caught on cam getting mad at hecklers during a public performance in the province, Pat said he feels protective of how the public was quick to judge his best friend.

“We hate talking about it eh kasi pag pinag-uusapan namin parang sabay sabay kaming nagagalit, ganun. Especially me na best friend ko yun na alam ko how great of a guy he is and how good of a Christian he is but he gets treated that way. For me that’s unfair. Like what gives you the right to hate on someone. What have you done for you to have the right to talk to my best friend like that?” he stated.
