Jerika Ejercito clarifies she didn’t ‘replace’ ex-boyfriend Bernard Palanca

A week ago, Jerika already opened up about her new relationship to the public by posting photos of her with beau Miquel Aguilar Garcia on Instagram.

A netizen commented the lyrics of Passenger’s song “Let Her Go” on Bernard’s Instagram account.

Bernard took notice and replied, “For the record, I didn't let her go. She replaced me...”

Jerika then left a comment on her own Instagram post confirming they already ended their 4-year relationship.

“To set the record straight... Once and for all, no one replaced anyone just like that. I have kept our breakup very private out of respect for the father of my child.

“There are MANY, MANY PAINFUL reasons why I decided I have had enough and it is my right to keep it between the two of us.

“We had a good run for 4 years. But in the end I had to choose the lesser evil. So please stop with the speculations.”

She also said that they tried to fix their relationship but ‘it wasn’t meant to be.’

“Walang kawawa dito kung hindi kaming dalawa. We tried but it just wasn’t meant to be. God knows I gave it my all and more. It has almost a year since we parted ways but I'm not the type to air our dirty laundry. So please just respect my space and decision to move on.”

The two have a 2-year old son named Isaiah.
