Former real-life couple Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo will reunite in the upcoming Dan Villegas movie How To Be Yours under Star Cinema which hits theaters on July 27.

Admitting that she felt weird during their first day of taping, Bea said, “’Nung una, to be honest, sobrang weird niya. First day, sobrang weird ‘nung feeling kasi hindi naman kami sanay na nakikita niyong lahat together dati. Ngayon, it’s for work. It’s not supposed to be weird but it was. So siguro nagruru-root ‘yung sa hindi nga kami sanay na nakakausap ninyong lahat na magkasama… But now, sobrang kumportable namin sa isa’t isa.”

Did they hesitate in accepting the project then?

“Well, sa side ko, wala. Wala pa yatang 20 minutes ‘yung meeting namin, tinanggap ko na agad. Um-oo agad ako. This is blessing para po sa akin, bakit ko naman tatanggihan? Tapos makakasama ko ulit si Direk Dan,” Gerald, who has worked with the movie director before, said.

Bea said that maybe this is the right time for them to work together. “Sa akin naman po, wala naman pong problema kahit sinong makatrabaho ko. Laging nagdedepende naman ‘yan sa story, sa character na ibibigay sa’kin, kung anong nararamdaman ko ng pagkakataon na ‘yun.”

However, are they open to working with their other showbiz exes?

Gerald was in a relationship with Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador, and was linked to Sarah Geronimo while Bea broke up with Zanjoe Marudo, dated Jake Cuenca and Mico Palanca.

Gerald answered “Of course,” even joking that it will mean several projects for him since he has many exes.

“But seriously, more projects, more blessings. Of course, I’d love to lalo po para sa mga fans na from the start, nandoon sila para sa ’kin, I would love to,” he said, kidding aside.

Reiterating the importance of the story and the character, Bea said that she is also open to working with her other ex-boyfriends. “Mas nagmamatter actually kung ano ‘yun story, kung naniniwala ba ako ‘dun sa project at kung naniniwala ako sa sarili ko na kaya kong gawin ‘yung proyekto. It’s more on that, hindi naman talaga kung sino ‘yung makakasama ko,” she said.
