EXCLUSIVE: Venus Raj shares why she’s impressed with Pia Wurtzbach

Afterplacing as fourth runner-up in the Miss Universe competition in 2010, Venus Rajadmitted that she believes winning the title now is a totally different ballgame from before. This is why she admires the way reigning Miss Universe PiaWurtzbach deals with everything especially via social media. 'I praise Godbecause Pia is 26 right now and she’s maturein how she thinks and how she deals with circumstances in her life. If I werein her place right now, probably it would be very difficult for me because Iwas just 22. I haven’t read most of thenews about her. But I’ve been followingher on social media and I think she’s sogracious in dealing with things,” she recalled.

Venusadmitted she would have had difficulty dealing with detractors online if shehad joined a pageant now. “Before I was so naive. I came from the province andI was introduced to this glittery life and if ganyan yung mangyayari sa akin naso many things are going on and even maraming issues and all, I wouldn’tknow how to deal with that during my time,” she shared during the “Before I SayI Do” bridal event held at the Conrad Hotel Manila.

Thenow 28-year-old model said she has matured a lot since joining showbiz andcoming back from the international pageant scene. 'Because before Ithought the things that were happening in my life before I thought ‘Eto na yun.Eto ang buhay. This is life that I’ve beenwanting to have.’ Parang I’menjoying it right now so I might as well enjoy every moment of it. But now Irealize hindi eh. I think everything is really fleeting and you just have tochoose kung ano yung importante para sa iyo. And those things that are important,you hold on to it,” she admitted.
