ABS-CBN’s phenomenal love team of the ‘90s, Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin attended the screening of their 1998 film, Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang?, which has been digitally restored and remastered, at the UP Town Center Cinemas on Tuesday, January 10. The movie’s director Jerry Lopez Sineneng and writer Ricky Lee were also at the event, along with the former love team’s many fans and celebrity friends.

“Nakakatuwa na mapapanood ng mga kabataan ngayon ‘yung kilig movie namin noon na maganda na ‘yung pagkakagawa ngayon. Kumbaga, para siyang bagong movie ulit pero ‘nung panahon namin,” Jolina said.

Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang? tells the story of two best friends Ned and Bujoy who fell in love with one another. Jolina’s role became iconic for her lines when she dramatically confessed her feelings for Marvin’s character.

According to Marvin and Jolina, they shared many good memories while filming the movie. Happy that many consider this film as one of their favorites, they also hope that more people from the present generation will appreciate the story.

In an interview with PUSH.com.ph, Marvin said that they definitely want to work with each other again in a movie if given the chance. Jolina then said that she wants to do a sequel of Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang?. “Gusto ko ng continuation ni Bujoy at saka ni Ned,” she said.

Tapos ‘nung nagkita sila, nagreminisce. ‘Dun nakita ‘yung mga (moments) nila dati. Tapos naghiwalay sila ulit tapos ‘pag nagkukwento sila, iba ‘yung nangyayari sa tunay na buhay at saka ikinukwento nila… Mga gano’n.”
