012117-XiaVigor_PUSH.jpgChild star Xia Vigor continues to gain global popularity after impersonating international pop star Taylor Swift on the talent show, Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids. On Thursday morning, January 19, PUSH.com.ph got to talk to her after her interview with Simon Parry of the Daily Mail UK.

“Masaya po ako kasi madami na rin pong nagsusuporta sa akin,” she said, adding that she is also happy when people take a picture with her.

As Xia’s global popularity rises, reports surfaced that Taylor’s fans called ‘Swifties’ would like the two to meet.

If given the chance, Xia, who also wants to meet Taylor, said, “’Yung una ko pong sasabihin sa kanya, ‘Alam mo ba, ate Taylor Swift, favorite kita tapos ang ganda ganda mo pa tapos gusto ko ‘yung hair mo.”

According to Xia, she likes Taylor for her hair and attitude. She also likes her songs “You Belong with Me” and “Shake It Off.”

Xia was also happy that she received an invite to guest on the Ellen show. She said that she is ‘game’ for an international appearance.

Meanwhile, Xia shared how her British father, Alan Vigor, reacted upon learning about her rising popularity.

“’Yung sinabi niya po, ‘Xia, anak, proud na proud ako sa’yo. Sana pagpatuloy mo lang ‘yung ginagawa mo.’”

Despite all of Xia’s present activities including her morning drama series Langit at Lupa, the seven-year-old, nonetheless, does well in school. She is now in the first grade. “Hindi naman po ako nahihirapan kasi po nag-e-enjoy din po ako sa TV work ko sa ABS-CBN,” she said.

Adding that she gets to play both in school and in tapings, Xia shared, “Tapos minsan ‘yung play namin, direk-direktor-an para makakamemorize rin kami ng mga lines.” Her fondness for also being behind the camera, she said, was something she might have gotten from her mother who was a Film student in the United Kingdom. However, she said that she wanted to be a pop star when she grows up.

As for her present goal, Xia said that she wants them to open a salon. “Tapos ako po, mag-me-make up sa kanila, magkukulot sa kanila para masaya rin po.”
