Jona still throws her head back laughing while recalling how she arrived at choosing Angeline Quinto to prank on DJ Chacha’s radio show.

The video of Jona’s prank call on her co-Birit Queens member has been making rounds lately and has already gained over 1.5 million views since it was released last month.

In an exclusive interview with the Birit Queens member, she shared just why she chose Angeline over the other Birit Queens Klarisse de Guzman and Morissette Amon.

According to Jona, it was DJ Chacha who prodded her to choose among her co-Birit Queens members.

“Eh naisip ko, kapag si Klarisse [de Guzman] ang tatawagan ko baka mamaya, imbes na siya ang i-prank ko ako pa ang ma-prank niya,” she said about Klarisse.

Jona claims that Klarisse, being the funny one in their group, is more likely to turn the tables on her.

“Tapos kapag si Mori [Morissette] naman, diba baby-baby pa yun. Baka mamaya wala kaming makuhang sagot. Baka ipasa ako kay Tita Analee, sa mama niya, So sabi ko ‘Sige si Angge na nga lang, i-try ko nalang,” she shared.

Another factor that made her choose to prank Angeline was the fact that they do have moments wherein they talk about family matters. It may be recalled that Jona’s father recently passed away after being confined in an ICU for over a month.

“So nung nagsimula yung prank call, sinimulan ko rin ng about sa family matter kaya nahuli siguro,” she said.

Jona’s prank essentially revolved over the idea with her asking Angeline for money to pay for the two designer shoes that she has ordered from an alleged online seller.

But were they able to talk after the prank?

“Oo, nagkita kami kinabukasan para sa technical rehearsal ng show ni Ate Reg [Regine Velasquez]. Sabi niya, tawa daw siya ng tawa. Tsaka first time daw niyang ginawa yung ganon para mabayaran yung utang ganyan,” Jona said.

Jona revealed however that Angeline was able to notice the distinct voice of the online seller that she spoke with, which was actually DJ Chacha.

“Tapos ang nakakatawa dun, kasi ‘di ba nagusap na kami? Pinanood niya doon sa Facebook. Nakita niya yung ginagawa naming ni DJ Chacha sa kanya na nagtatawanan kami na sobrang pinipigilan lang namin. Sabi lang niya ‘Kayo ah!’” she ended.
