'I think in acontest—whether in any other contest—also the girl has to know how to answerand how to project her thoughts about the country.'

'We have thepercentage and it is important in the beauty contest we are going to send thegirls abroad and they have to pass not only the beauty, walking, but it has tobe how to project the country here and abroad.'

'We aretrying to improve what we do but we are not going to change.'

'I'm verystrict with backgrounds, with candidate number 36 I don't want to tell anyother [thing]. But we are strict when we find out something that if she is nota candidate we are going to send abroad,' sabi pa ni Mrs. Araneta.
