050217-DaveMoffat_PUSH.jpgDave Moffatt finally cleared up speculations about his absence at the successful The Moffatts Farewell Tour in the country last February.

In an exclusive interview with the Canadian pop rock group’s lead vocalist, he explained that he was busy with other endeavors hence the absence.

“My brothers went there into the country for a concert and I wasn’t there because I was actually busy doing some stuff with my yoga and I didn’t feel like it was the right time to take a time away from that,” he said.

Nevertheless, David is happy that the show got a good reception from the group’s fans.

“It was pretty amazing to see the reception that my brothers received during their tour. It definitely was an amazing sight to see the video footage,” he said.

Although the previous tour has been touted as “The Farewell Tour,” Dave is positive that a reunion project with his brothers won’t be impossible.

“Well you can never say never,” he said.

“I know my brothers are so busy right now doing their solo projects and I’m busy doing yoga at the moment. But nothing’s set in stone. And I’m always hopeful and it’s always a possibility,” Dave continued.

Dave, who is now known as “The Singing Yogi” to celebrate his two interests, is set to come to the country soon.

“I’ll be coming to the country to do some yoga classes and I’ll be holding a concert as well,” he said.

Dave’s solo music and yoga tour is happening on May 27 at the Music Museum.

According to Dave, he’s been teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, chair yoga and gentle restorative yoga for almost six years now.

“It’s really been just really a great practice for me and it’s a practice I want to share with as many people as possible,” he said.

Since he wants to ensure that all his students would really be able to really connect and tune in with their bodies, breaths and minds, he also talked about his new endeavor.

“At the moment I’m putting together a website so I can teach online classes to students all over the world who are interested in signing up anything about yoga and breath and meditation. I also have plans on jumping into the studio at some point,” he ended.
