Janine Gutierrez reacts to comments rooting for her and Rayver Cruz to become a couple

Despite persistent rumors, Janine Gutierrez pointedly emphasized that she is not in a relationship with anyone as of the moment.“Wala po akong boyfriend,” said Janine in an interview with PEP.Echoing what Rayver Cruzsaid in an earlier interview, Janine claimed that they only rarely see each other.“Minsan po nagkikita kami,” she said pointing out that those meetings have no meaning whatsoever.How do these meetings go about?“Wala, minsan kapag libre, nagkikita kami nung mga kaibigan namin, ganun. Minsan may binisita kami, yung friend ko, marami kaming magkakasama,” she explained.Another reason that got them spending time together was due to the insistence of her mother’s friend.“Yung mommy kasi ng friend namin nasa ospital, so bumisita ako. Eh yung mommy ng friend ko, naglambing na gusto daw niyang makilala [si Rayver],” she shared.According to Janine, her mother’s friend wanted to meet Rayver for a simple reason.“Eh siyempre, kasi siya si Rayver at alam niya na friends kaming lahat,” Janine said.Just because they’re not a couple doesn’t mean that she doesn’t appreciate Rayver.“Ano siya, eh okay siya, mabait. Tapos masayang kasama, sobrang nakakatawa,” she said. “Pareho naman sila ni Rodjun (Rayver’s brother), nakakatawa.”But what does she feel about their persistent pairing?“Natutuwa,” she said.She was, however, quick to add, “Work pa rin po talaga. Actually, minsan lang talaga ako may libreng araw. Pero tingnan natin.”In the end, Janine became a bit uncertain as to whether or not she’s now ready to open her heart anew.“Ewan ko, parang hindi naman napaplano iyon eh. Tingnan na lang natin,” she said.Janine was formerly in a relationship with Elmo Magalona, who is now being linked to Janella Salvador.
