It has been ten years since Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez last worked together. Their last project was the movie The Promise in 2007 so when Angel was reunited with her former onscreen partner, she was really over the moon about it.

“I am very excited and happy because after ten years makakatrabaho ko ulit si Richard. I think naman excited kayo mapanood kami ulit. Kung ano ‘yung excitement niyo siguro doble ‘yung sa akin dahil kasabayan ko si Chard. ‘Yung mga nuances niya halos memorize ko na. Gusto kong makita kung papaano siya nag-grow din as an actor kasi ten years eh,” she said.

Angel shared that even if they led different paths for numerous years, their onscreen rapport was still very palpable “Ten years ang hindi namin pagsasama pero nong nagkita kami ulit parang di naman nakalipas ‘yung sampung taon. Nandodoon pa naman ‘yung chemistry namin, I believe,” she remarked.

La Luna Sangre is the third installment after Lobo and Imortal. The actress feels honored that the series which she pioneered has been given a modern take.

She said, “Masaya po ako kasi iba ‘yung happiness po na na-appreciate ng mga tao ‘yung mga pinaghirapan namin ni direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) noon, kami nila Piolo (Pascual) and ni Lloydie (John Lloyd Cruz) tapos gagawin ngayon ng dalawang bigating artista ng henerasyon natin so very honored and thankful na parang in a way nakakapagbigay ng tribute sa amin so nong they asked me kung okay ba sa akin na mag-appear dito sabi ko yes, tutulong ako, susuporta ako diyan kasi mahal ko ‘yung proyekto.”

Angel revealed that she chose to perform her own action stunts in the show even she just had a surgery last year. The actress explained why she chose to do so. “Kung ang direktor ko nga po ginagawa niya muna bago niya ipagawa sa artista niya bakit hindi ko po gagawin ‘yung trabaho ko?” She stressed that the production team really took good care of her during the shoot. “Iningatan po talaga ako nila ng bonggang-bongga po,” she stated.
