Disney has chosen the actors of its “Aladdin” live action film

<div> </div><p>Canadian actor Mena Massoud has officially clinched the lead role in Guy Richie’s live action remake of Disney’s Aladdin.</p><p>Massoud is currently appearing on Amazon series Jack Ryan.</p><p>Will Smith is confirmed to play the role of Genie while Naomi Scott will portray Princess Jasmine.</p><p>The news was officially revealed at D230 Expo, Disney’s fan convention in Anaheim, California.</p><p>Massoud also later tweeted about the official announcement.</p><div><img alt="" src="https://push-data.abs-cbn.com/push/push/media/2017/071617/aladdin.jpg"/></div><p>It was previously rumoured that the studio was having a hard time casting Aladdin – who needed to be in his 20s, of Middle Eastern or Indian descent, and can sing and dance.
