Star Magic All-Star Game 2017 Most Valuable Player Gerald Anderson finally aired his thoughts on the much-talked about Twitter feud between Daniel Padilla and Paul Salas.

The La Luna Sangre had expressed his dismay over Paul’s comments about him that went viral.

Gerald, the team captain of this year’s winning blue team, reminded the younger stars not to make things personal during the blogger’s conference of his Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino entry AWOL.

Despite himself, Gerald actually thinks that the basketball match between Paul and Daniel should push through.

Sports yan eh. Sorry pero natutuwa ako, kasi it’s about sports. Ito ang drama behind everything. That’s why everybody is so affected by it, kasi nga may pride and may joy. Para sa akin why not?” he said.

Siyempre naman, hanggang diyan lang naman. It shouldn’t get personal or anything,” he added.

But when asked if he’s Team Daniel or Team Paul, Gerald only let out a laugh.

Problema nila ‘yan, kaya nila ‘yan,” he said.

Meanwhile, the hunky actor confirmed recent reports that he tried to stop Daniel’s mother Karla Estrada from storming to the court during the basketball game held last August 13 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Tumawag rin siya sa akin after ng game. But just like what happened with Daniel’s, it’s grit, it’s nothing serious. It’s a game. And it just shows kung gaano ka-passionate ang mga tao,” he explained.

Gerald believes that what happened on the hardcourt only goes to show that “hindi showbiz ang mga tao” during the game.

Their team’s win against the red team has earned them a 1-1 rating.

Is he open to have a championship game against Daniel’s team?

“Let’s see… why not? As long as makapagbigay kami ng saya sa ibang tao at nage-enjoy rin kami. Sobrang passionate sa game, binigay namin ang lahat. Nakita naman nila, sa lahat ng nakanuod. So, why not?” he ended.

Catch AWOL in cinemas nationwide until August 22.
