<div> </div>Kapamilya artists bagged numerous awards at the recently concluded MOR Pinoy Music Awards 2017 held at Kia Theater on Saturday, August 5, 2017.Jona took home the Song of the Year award for “Maghihintay Ako”. The singer confessed that she was completely surprised when her name was called for the award.“Very thankful po ako, happy and proud kasi first MOR award ko po ito. Ito po ‘yung mga unang song po talaga na nagawa ko sa Star Music tapos nabigyan po ako ng chance to interpret sa Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs and super happy po kasi napakaganda po kasi ng feedback sa song na ito and natutuwa po ako na na-recognize po siya as Song of the Year sa MOR,” she said. Another top prize-winner at the event was Ylona Garcia who bested Sarah Geronimo and Yeng Constantino for the Female Artist of the Year award. “Na-overwhelmed po talaga ako. I feel really great, I feel happy, I feel joy, grabe po talaga. Nagulat po talaga ako when my name was called and I am really thankful to everybody who stood by me no matter what, it’s amazing,” she stated. She also received the LSS Hit of the Year award for the song &quot;O Pag-ibig&quot; which she recorded with Bailey May.Maymay Entrata was also a big winner at the awards night after receiving the Best Collaboration trophy for the song “Baliw” which she recorded with Edward Barber. “Sobrang blessed naman po, masaya ako kasi isa ito sa naging dahilan kung bakit sumikat ‘yung MayWard. Tapos nabaliw rin po sila sa kantang ‘to kaya sobrang napaka-blessed po dahil nakikita ko silang masaya sa lahat ng na-achieve ko. Kaya hindi ako magsasawang ibabalik ‘yung suporta na binigay nila sa akin,” she said.
