Producer Neil Arce described his movie Last Night as a passion project. He relayed that his team carefully looked into every aspect of the film, from the cast to the story flow.

“Actually this project very important sa akin. Kasi ito ‘yung project na medyo two or three years namin inintay bago namin gawin tsaka with the right casting. Talagang hindi kami pumayag na hindi namin gusto ‘yung casting, sa director, kung saan pupunta, yung buong pelikula, hindi kami pumayag. Tama lahat ng timing so medyo baby project talaga,” he said in an interview at the press conference of the movie.

Last Night was conceptualized by the producer and his ex-girlfriend Bela Padilla years ago when they were still together as a couple. Neil was asked by the press how he maintains a good relationship with Bela so that they were still able work together.

“Wala naman po kaming ginawang masama sa isa’t isa. Kumbaga ano eh more of parang di naman kami 18 years old na magsusulat kami ng masasama sa pader tungkol sa isa’t isa, alam mo ‘yun? So I think we’re both mature enough to work together,” he stated.

Bela agreed with what Neil said, stressing she could have not completed the story without Neil’s help.

“Tama naman ‘yung lahat ng sinabi niya tsaka you ask po kanina why he is sitting here, he deserves a sit because he is one of the persons who conceptualized the movie. He does deserve a sit here. And while I was writing this, I guess kung sa acting siya ‘yung kabatuhan ko ng mga ideas, so hindi ko rin naman siya masusulat ng ganito kung hindi rin dahil kay Neil,” Bella told the press.
