Errol Abalayan had his first taste of the limelight when he joined the first season of Star Circle Quest, which aired on ABS-CBN in 2004. He was the youngest contestant of his batch. After becoming part of the contest, Errol allotted time for showbiz. However, in 2006, Erol realized that he needed to prioritize his studies.
“Nasa awkward age din kasi ako that time, 'di pwede sa Goin Bulilit nor love teams. At the same time, my high school teachers in ABS-CBN DLC inspired me to finish my studies,” he said in an interview with PUSH.
Errol’s hardwork on his studies paid off and in 2013, he graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Errol is currently a Client Relations Supervisor in a real estate company.
He is also now married and has a one-year-old son named Zac Evans. “Nag-meet kami [ng wife ko] nong time na nag OJT ako and employee siya sa isang company. [We got married on] February 9, 2016,” he told PUSH.
Asked if he is still in touch with his Star Circle Quest batchmates, he replied, “Si kuya Hero (Angeles) nakaka-chat ko pero seldom lang. Last time na nakita ko sila was nung nag-guest ako sa GGV.”
Errol is still open to trying showbiz if time permits. “Priority ko right now is my family and commitments with the company I’m currently working. Pero if may chance, time, at nakapag-diet, bakit hindi,” he said. He admitted that he does miss dancing on TV.
Errol shared this piece of advice for aspiring artists. “If you're really into it, to be an artist, give it a try, enroll for workshops to get yourself ready for auditions. But at the same time, prioritize your studies pa rin,” he said.
