Weeks after rumors about Zsa Zsa Padilla’s alleged ‘tampo’ surfaced online, the Divine Diva’s daughter - Karylle - finally spoke up on the issue.

During the presscon for her Yuletide single and collaboration with Indonesian singer Calvin Jeremy titled It’s Christmas Time, Karylle addressed the rumors by speaking on behalf of her mom.

“Hindi ko nga alam ‘yung present status kasi may mga kaganapan na I can’t say kasi hindi pa siya tapos so wait-wait lang siguro tayo kung ano pa ‘yung mangyayari siguro,” she said.

Asked if her mom has already opened up about the issue, she said, “Siyempre naman close kami no. Pero my mom always have me.”

With regards to the ‘tampo’ issue, Karylle also said that the reason why she can’t disclose anything is that nothing has been finalized as of the moment.

“I was listening to the first, first song I ever wrote and it says na parang ‘We don’t have a perfect life but I know that you’ll always be there for me when my world falls’ and vice versa. So I was listening to that. It played on my Spotify kanina. Sabi ko, aba nagpaparamdam. She’s my first love talaga. And siya talaga ’yung naging first inspiration ko for a song. So I guess it comes back to that. Whatever happens, I mean ‘yun. Nothing is really final so I can’t really say anything right now. Wait-wait lang tayo,” she added.

Karylle also cleared out the rumors that the reason why her mom decided to open a resort was because of issues related to her career.

“Actually siya nagsusupport sa’kin eh. Kasi kahapon din nag-shoot kami ng [music] video. Hindi ko man naisip na may problem or anything kasi she’s okay. So she just came from Cebu. She did a short crash course on farming. Well. she’s been into that for the past year. So I can’t say naman na she’s just doing that now. It’s something that she’s really been planning - and it’s their happy place. Like I always see them. It’s my first time to go to the farm a couple of weeks ago. And super, ano - ganda. Masaya,” she stated.

“I’ve been reading a book din on Ikigai and parang how happy older people - mga Centenerians of Japan. Farming is really part of that cycle you have to be one with. And I guess dadating talaga tayo sa hinahanap natin sa buhay natin. Siyempre city kids na tayo eh. Pero kailangan talaga natin ng sunshine and maraming ulan pala dun sa Quezon. And beautiful nature,” she added.
