Lovi Poe and Erich Gonzales’ slapping scene in the movie The Significant Other became a talk of the town last October after both stars reportedly have gotten carried away by the scene. In an interview with PUSH, Lovi relayed what happened while shooting the said intense scene.

“Of course si direk Joel Lamangan he deserved nothing less but being truthful to the scene so yeah I think that’s what we gave him and we owe that to our audience to actually do our best and make it realistic so I believe finally makikita na nila ang finished product,” she said.

Asked if it became awkward for her and Erich after filming that scene, she replied, “No it wasn’t awkward. It’s more of like we needed our own time and our own space of course. After every scene naman na ganito it’s normal eh na we have this certain intensity of emotions na nagfi-fill up sa aming dalawa but it’s not just me and her, it happens to a lot of actress so what’s important is that we believe that direk Joel was happy with the scene,’ she stated.

She also clarified that there is no bad blood between her and Erich. “We’re good friends, Erich and I. No [bad blood], none at all, because we know it’s part of the job,’ she shared.
